Elaine Doxtader, OD

Originally from the small town of Little Falls, Dr. Elaine Doxtader grew up in upstate New York. Dr. Doxtader received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Siena College in Albany, NY. Following this, she moved to New York City to complete her doctorate degree at Suny College of Optometry. Dr. Doxtader is a New York State licensed optometrist.

While in optometry school, Dr. Doxtader worked in the Clinical Vision Research Center where she participated in myopia control research. Dr. Doxtader has experience with a large and diverse urban patient population. She has completed clinical rotations in both a hospital and private practice setting with various disciplines including ocular disease, pediatrics, and contact lenses. She is well versed in examining and treating all age groups, including pediatrics.

Dr. Doxtader’s goal is to deliver exceptional eye care to her patients and believes that this begins with proper patient-doctor communication. She hopes to provide a collaborative care experience, so patients leave their exam feeling well informed and engaged in their care.

Dr. Doxtader recently moved to the Hudson Valley region to join Precision Eye and Laser. In her spare time, Dr. Doxtader enjoys cooking, skiing in the Northeast, traveling, and being an Aunt.

Dr. Doxtader provides comprehensive eye exams, glaucoma care, diabetic eye exams, ocular disease care, and emergency services.
