Welcome, Dr. Krouner! We are beyond excited to introduce our newest ophthalmologist, Dr. Andrew Krouner, to the team! Born and raised just 30 minutes outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Krouner’s journey in medicine has been nothing short of extraordinary. He graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University before earning his medical degree at George Washington University. His dedication to serving others led him to a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, where he completed an internal medicine internship at Bethesda Naval Hospital before taking charge of an acute care clinic at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He later returned to Bethesda to complete his ophthalmology training, honing his skills in vision care and surgical precision. Dr. Krouner then spent three years as an ophthalmologist at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, where he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and became a board-certified ophthalmologist by the American Board of Ophthalmology. His passion for education and mentorship also earned him an assistant professorship at Uniformed Services University, where he trained future Navy, Army, and Air Force physicians. With a wealth of experience, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for patient care, Dr. Krouner is an incredible addition to our team.
