Before earning his doctorate, Dr. Kaufman worked as a technician at Precision Eye & Laser, gaining firsthand experience directly under Dr. Steinberg in advanced ophthalmic care. This early exposure to surgical and medical eye care provided a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of the patient experience. Education, Leadership, and Clinical Training
Dr. Kaufman received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, Massachusetts. During his training, he served as President of the Student American Academy of Optometry and earned a Student Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry—distinctions that reflect his leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to evidence-based medicine. His clinical training emphasized the
